Advanced Open Water Course

This course is probably just the opposite of your initial course - instead of having a heavy academic component - your Advanced Course is primarily experiential. The goal of this course is to encourage the new diver to explore some interesting specialty areas of diving. As a result of doing these supervised dives you complete the underlying objective of this course - that is you will become comfortable in setting objectives for a dive, planning a dive, performing the dive, and evaluating the dive upon completion.

The core curriculum of this course is a Deep Dive and a Navigation Dive. From there, divers will be able to choose three elective dives in order to complete the five dives required for this certification. Your textbook is used to introduce you to each of the dives you will complete and works as a briefing for each dive.

The "Training Fee" includes instruction, training kit with textbook, slate and logbook pages, and certification fees. Some specialty dives require rental of specialized equipment (i.e. photography, video, night, etc.) Dives are purchased separately. You may use your package dives or purchase any combination of 2-tank dives which totals 5 or more dives.

Upon successful completion of all five dives, the diver will be awarded the PADI Advanced Open Water certification.
